1. Decide on the form
The first thing you need to decide before buying is the shape of the diamond. If there are no special preferences, we recommend the standard – round shape, it provides a very beautiful play of light and the shimmer of a diamond.
But if you are looking for uniqueness or profit, then fantasy forms are a great alternative for you.
2. Compare the cut
The second most important parameter in choosing a diamond is its cut. This item includes proportions, symmetry, and polishing. The most important quality of a diamond depends on these factors – its brilliance.
There are 5 estimates of the quality of a diamond cut:
1. Excellent.
2. Very Good.
3. Good.
4. Fair.
5. Poor.
3. Choose the color of the stone
The third important aspect in buying a diamond is its color.
We recommend starting the selection with the color steps D-H, taking into account that diamonds with a yellow tint are less valuable, and accordingly, there is a possibility of saving.
Also, if you have determined in advance the color of the metal for the future decoration and have chosen yellow or rose gold, then the selection area can be expanded to J.
4. Decide on cleanliness
The last important criterion when buying a diamond is purity. We recommend to consider diamonds with purity up to VS2, as these stones have minor inclusions, which is not critical.
